In last week’s story on the Rockbridge County High School graduation, a person that salutatorian Nala Shearer was quoting in her speech was incorrectly identified.
It was not Devin Riley, a RCHS student who died last year, but the late Lylburn Downing Middle School teacher Mike Burch who said, “It doesn’t hurt to be nice.”
The News-Gazette apologizes for the mistake.
