Many thanks to the Rev. Samson Mamour for leading a Holy Eucharist service at St. John’s Episcopal Church this past week and to Bert Buford, Josh Gardner and Courtney VanOsten for providing music. Thanks, also, to Jim and Sharon White for hosting coffee hour. The 2024 season of hikers dinners continues at St. John’s on Monday nights at 6. The dinners are free and will run through the end of June.

The Northern Lights graced our skies this past weekend. Several skygazers gathered along the Blue Ridge Parkway to view the phenomenon. On Saturday evening, a strong, but brief storm moved through our area which left some debris on Va. 130 between Buck Hill and Natural Bridge, but was quickly cleaned up.

Many thanks to Zach Brown for helping me clean up trash along James River Road on Monday. We cleared out several bags of trash from Arnolds Valley Road to Robert E. Lee Drive. We will be continuing the pick-up tomorrow along the eastern half of the road.

Any church or community news or happenings, birthdays, anniversaries and the like you want listed? Please don’t hesitate to let me know!
