A Big Day In K

A huge crowd turned out for the annual “A Day in K” event at Maury River Middle School last Thursday. Rising kindergarteners got the chance to meet teachers and school staff, talk with law enforcement, tour emergency vehicles, and get free books, book bags and snacks. Among the scenes were (at bottom left) members of the Rockbridge National Wild Turkey Federation and JAKES giving out hot dogs and snacks, and (at bottom right) mascots engaging in a “dance off,” won from Downing’s Trojan.
