Area residents are being invited to participate in a Thanksgiving food drive to benefit Monacan community members in need.
The nonperishable items needed include stuffing mix, gravy, canned vegetables, instant potatoes, cranberry sauce, instant pudding, pie crust and filling and canned food.
Donations can be dropped off at the Buena Vista firehouse through Dec. 18.
The firehouse will also be the site of a cakewalk, the proceeds from which will go toward the purchase of perishable items, such as turkeys and hams, for Monacan families. The cakewalk will be held on Nov. 18, starting at 1 p.m.
