Glen Maury Park is inviting area businesses, churches and nonprofit groups to set up their own light displays at the park this upcoming holiday season.
The drive-thru holiday light displays have been a tradition at the park for a number of years. Park officials this year, though, are encouraging more community participation to expand the number of displays. They point to the displays at Gypsy Hill Park in Staunton as an example of what can be accomplished in Buena Vista, particularly now that the electrical system at the park has been upgraded.
The displays would be set up prior to Dec. 1 and will be viewed by the public through New Year’s Day.
