Upcoming events this month at High Bridge Presbyterian Church include the Hootenanny on Aug. 24 at 7 p.m. with guest Marina Gopadze, Small Church Gathering on Aug. 31 at 7 p.m. and Presbyterian Women’s Coordinating team on Aug. 27 after worship.
The school start-up pool party was cancelled last week due to low attendance but has been rescheduled for Sunday Aug. 27, after worship. Youth leader Donna Lotts has details.
Jane Shafer’s daughters Brenda Shafer, Cathy Ayers and Jane’s nieces Sandy Watts and Susan McKnight recently returned from a 17-day Abbott bus trip. They toured 17 western states with highlights including Yosemite National Park, Mount Rushmore, Deadwood, Sturgis the Gateway Arch in St. Louis, Mo., and several museums.
The Natural Bridge/Glasgow food pantry will be open Saturday, Aug. 26, from 9 to 11 a.m.
