Oct. 23, 2026 Editor, The News-Gazette: I wanted to express my gratitude and appreciation for the staff and facilities at Carilion Rockbridge Community Hospital.
When my husband recently experienced a severe medical emergency, we rushed to the ER. He was seen immediately, and after some testing, was correctly diagnosed, treated, and helicoptered to Roanoke for additional care.
I cannot say enough good things about the staff in our little hospital - the doctors, nurses and technicians. They were courteous, efficient, and kind. We are so blessed to have this hospital in our community. I don’t think my husband would still be with us if we had needed to drive to either Fishersville or Roanoke for treatment!
