Rockbridge Conservation will hold its 50th anniversary annual meeting at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 8, at House Mountain Inn at 455 Lonesome Dove Trail.
The featured speaker will be Board President Shannon Spencer, who will talk about the history of Rockbridge Conservation, its founding, and the work it has accomplished in half a century.
The meeting is an informal, lightly catered affair with a cash bar that is open to its members, family, friends, and the public. Attendees are asked to RSVP at info@rockbridgeconservation. org before the event.
The program will include a guided tree walk on the House Mountain Inn trails, followed by a social hour gathering, the business meeting, and a group photo.
The business meeting will feature awards to local conservation stalwarts, and the election of members of the board of directors for three-year terms. Nominees include new members Annette Green, John Malusky and Catarina Passidomo.
