Oct. 19, 2026 Editor, The News-Gazette: Trump is spending your money for his ego and personal greed. He has increased his personal wealth by $2.2 billion since the beginning of his second term. His tax cuts have been for millionaires and billionaires. He recently spent $10 million (your taxes) to fund a personal propaganda ad. He spent a fortune putting gold on everything, including doorframes and toilets, to turn the White House (your house) into his “castle.” He hired a crony’s company to rejuvenate the reflecting pool and blamed the disaster on everyone but himself, as he always does. Waste, extravagance and incompetence is everywhere in his administration.
Democrats spend your tax dollars on education, health care, medical research, scientific research, human rights, infrastructure and green energy, etc. The needs of the people.
Mark Warner has tried to curb Trump’s erratic, illegal and unconstitutional “leadership” but Republicans control the House and Senate. They support everything Trump does, no matter how scary and crazy it is, as does Ben Cline.
