Oct. 8, 2026 Editor, The News-Gazette: It must be hard, but apparently not impossible, to defend the current state of the country. It’s laughable to suggest Democrats voted against tax relief on tips and Social Security while pretending that those provisions are not part of the destructive big beautiful bill.
