Applications for the Buena Vista’s façade improvement grant program opened Friday, Oct. 2, for the FY27 grant year. The program provides funding assistance to local businesses, property owners and residents looking to make improvements to eligible properties within the designated program area.
Through this program, eligible property owners and tenants, with property owner approval, may receive reimbursement grants covering up to 50% of eligible project costs, with a maximum grant award of $5,000 per property. Eligible improvements may include exterior painting, architectural restoration, lighting enhancements, masonry repairs, and other improvements that enhance the appearance of eligible residential and commercial properties.
“The façade improvement grant program gives local businesses, property owners and residents an opportunity to make meaningful improvements to their properties while contributing to the continued investment in our community,” said Ally Haney, interim Economic Development Authority secretarytreasurer. “These projects can help improve the appearance of properties throughout the designated program area and support the ongoing efforts to maintain a vibrant and welcoming Buena Vista.”
Applications will be accepted through Nov. 6 at 4 p.m. Approved projects must be completed by May 28, 2027.
