Sept. 23, 2026 Editor, The News-Gazette: Recently, Ratko Mladic passed away in custody. Three decades earlier, he led the Srebrenica genocide; over 8,000 Bosnian men and boys were killed. This was during the presidency of Bill Clinton, and as morally compromised as Clinton was, he was moved enough to attempt to stop the war and Americans supported his efforts.
