The life of Larry Owens, a Glasgow resident who died earlier this year, was memorialized by the Natural Bridge Ruritan Club and Glasgow Garden Club with the dedication of a park bench in Centennial Park Sept. 17 to honor his service to Glasgow. Both his devotion to, and love of, this community were demonstrated by numerous hours spent cleaning up area streets and roadways, assisting in the maintenance and beautification of Centennial Park and willingness to volunteer to help wherever help was needed. Shown at the dedication are James Black and Gayle Tolley, president and secretary, respectively of the Natural Bridge Ruritan Club.
