Sept. 21, 2026 Editor, The News-Gazette: Early voting has started and I am writing to point out the extraordinary importance of getting to the polls for this particular election.
We have a chance to bring a voice which can bring some honesty, civility, and a real respect for the working folks of Rockbridge and surrounds. Beth Macy has the skills and the determination to stand up for the middle class.
The choice is clear. Get out there and vote! It couldn’t be easier.
Democracy is not a spectator sport. There is danger in not caring and if we can stay home it might result in keeping the fella who has been leading us on a path toward runaway corporate greed and a further decline of our living standards.
Look honestly at your life and the future of your children and decide where you want to go.
