This summer, the Rockbridge Area Master Gardeners (RAMGA) celebrated the graduation of the training class of 2026. Becoming a Master Gardener volunteer requires an entire year of preparation, which includes rigorous component of studying and volunteering. Master Gardener volunteers are trained to support Virginia Cooperative Extension by educating the public in many aspects of horticulture. After graduation, a trainee becomes an intern and volunteers for a total of 50 hours at approved activities.
