Tuesday, Sept. 15 -- Narrows spoiled the Parry McCluer High School volleyball team's Pioneer District opener by claiming a 3-0 victory in Buena Vista.
Seven different players registered multiple kills for the Green Wave (5-2, 2-0 district) in a 25-9, 25-17, 25-11 win. Summer McCroskey led the way with eight kills, followed by six kills from Caelyn Buracker. Karsyn Reed tallied 23 assists, four kills and four service aces, and Rebekah Farmer had five aces.
Jorja Catlett paced the Fighting Blues (1-7) with eight assists, four kills and 10 digs. Josie Martinez also finished with four kills for PM, while Jaelyn Manning tallied three. Presley Camden recorded 21 digs and two aces, and Sophie Porterfield chipped in five digs.
The Blues will continue Pioneer play at Eastern Montgomery on Thursday evening. Action begins with the junior varsity game at 5:30 p.m.
