James River knocked the Parry McCluer High School football team from the ranks of the unbeaten, dealing the Fighting Blues a 21-6 home loss on Friday night at Bobby Williams Field in Buena Vista.
The Knights (2-1) led 6-0 at halftime before the Fighting Blues (2-1) tied the game when Thomas Conner scored a touchdown in the third quarter. However, the Knights scored two TDs in the fourth quarter to pull away.
For their homecoming game, the Blues will play host to Stonewall Jackson (1-2) next Friday at 7 p.m.
