Food for Thought, the student managed in-house RCHS food pantry, is now open for orders for the 2026-2027 school year. Everyone in the community is welcome to place an order for free clothes, food and hygiene products, which are to be picked at Rockbridge County High School. Order forms can be found on the RCHS website under the “Parents and Students” tab. Food for Thought hosts drive-thru pickups once each month for free meal boxes at Rockbridge County High School from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. The next drivethus are Sept. 18 and Oct. 23.
On Sunday, Sept. 13, there will be a Travis Roadcap Memorial Baseball Game from 2 to 4 p.m. as students seek to honor his legacy within the baseball community. He deeply cared about the sport and his players. All are welcome.
The college fair will be at RCHS on Sept. 14 from 9 to 11 a.m. for juniors and seniors to explore post-graduation options.
Project Connection will be hosting a parent/child open house on Sept. 11 from 3:40 to 4:30 p.m. at Grace Presbyterian Church. Local children and teens with disabilities, their siblings, and other children in the community, ages pre-k through high school who feel they would benefit from an inclusive environment and an opportunity to build friendships are invited to play games, make crafts, and make amazing connections with teen volunteer buddies RCHS.
