Maury River Road just west of Campground Lane was closed for several hours Thursday afternoon after a tractor-trailer carrying a single-wide home couldn’t negotiate the sharp curve, with the trailer’s wheels running off the road. Lee Hi Towing was called in to get the trailer back on the road, according to Nathan Ramsey, Rockbridge County fire-rescue chief, who happened upon the incident shortly after it happened and reported it to the Virginia Department of Transportation and Virginia State Police.
