Latin students at Lylburn Downing Middle School meet outside for class with their teacher, Laura Joyner, on one of last week’s nice late summer days. “We encourage our teachers to take their students outside for learning whenever they can,” said Lexington Superintendent Rebecca Walters. “Several years ago we added multiple outdoor learning spaces at both schools with shade structures and picnic tables.
