Why breast milk is the perfect food for babies will be the topic of the next meeting of the La Leche League Tuesday, Sept. 8, at 10 a.m. The meeting will be in the community room of the Rockbridge Area Health Center on the second floor accessible via elevator.
A new series will begin for anyone interested in breastfeeding that will center around the joys and benefits of breastfeeding for both baby and mom.
The meeting is guided by a local LLL leader who has nursed her own children and received training by LLL International. Meetings are free and open to all pregnant or nursing mothers, partners, babies and children. A free lending library will be available and snacks will be provided.
