Nicely Retiring From County Post

After 36 years at the helm of Rockbridge County’s department of parks and recreation, director Wayne Nicely is retiring. His last day will be Sept. 15 Nicely oversees operations of Lake Robertson Park in Collierstown and the Blue Ridge Park in Fairfield. He and his staff also provide grounds maintenance services for many county-owned facilities and the substantial network of the county’s street name signs.
