Young Life Rockbridge County is inviting runners, walkers, families, and community members of all ages to participate in the third annual YL RoCo 5K & Fun Run, a free community race benefiting Young Life’s ministry to local middle, high school, and collegeaged students.
This community-centered event will be on Sept. 12 at the Virginia Horse Center’s Hoofbeats Barn. It is going to be a twilight race that will go from the Hoofbeats Barn through the Virginia Horse Center woods and property. For all attendees, there will be food trucks on site to purchase food during and after the race.
The YL RoCo 5K & Fun Run will feature three race options:
• Kids 1-Mile Fun Run: 4:30 p.m., open to children ages 11 and under
• 2.5K Run: 5:15 p.m.
• 5K Run: 5:15 p.m. All races are free to enter. Participants who register will also receive a free cotton Tshirt, although requested shirt sizes cannot be guaranteed for registrations received after Sept. 5. Additionally, there will be prizes for the top three male and top three female finishers of the 5K.
