7 p.m. – Music-themed trivia night, sponsored by the Rockbridge Regional Library, kick-off event for Library Card Sign-Up Month, at Heliotrope Brewery.

Friday, Sept. 4

5 to 7 p.m. – Opening reception for SPCA “Art for Arf” show, Nelson Gallery.

Monday, Sept. 7

Day – Buena Vista Labor Day celebration, parade starts at 9 a.m., with political speeches starting at 11 and music at 2 p.m.

8 a.m. to 2 p.m. - Rockbridge Baths Labor Day celebration, yard sales, pulled pork lunch, classic car show, bounce house.

11 a.m. – Barbecue chicken sale, Buena Vista Fire Department, halves $7, dinners $12 (includes chicken half, three sides, and roll); raffle tickets available to purchase for $10 each, with drawing on Oct. 17.
