The 36th annual Palmer Center Ice Cream Supper Saturday drew 870 patrons to the Palmer Community Center in Collierstown. The Effinger Ruritan Club, which organizes the event, made 225 gallons of homemade ice cream, which some attendees had to consume under the tented area outside the building where volunteers were dishing out the ice cream when the rain began to pour (at top).
