The next planning meeting for this year’s Relay for Life will be held this Thursday, Aug. 20, at 6 p.m. at Frank’s Pizza in Lexington.
All are welcome to attend, learn more about the event, and find out how they can participate in this year’s celebration of survivors, remembrance of loved ones, and commitment to a cancer-free future.
The Relay For Life of Rockbridge County will be held on Saturday, Aug. 31, at Central Elementary School.
It’s not too late to get involved. Luminaria bags in memory or honor of loved ones are still available and will be available at the event as well. “We do ask if you purchase bags please bring a can of food to be donated to a local food bank,” said Robin Hartless Moore.
The Relay For Life of Rockbridge County also invites all cancer survivors and their caregivers to take part in this year’s event. Registration is free and open now at www.relayforlife. org/rockbridgeva.
