Aug. 5, 2026 Editor, The News-Gazette: There are three Town Council seats to be filled in Glasgow during the upcoming election. Currently, only one [of the three incumbent members whose terms expire this year], Natalie Harris, is actively speaking up on behalf of our town.
This leaves two additional seats to fill. Mary Beth Reynolds and Charles Gibbs are running as write-in candidates. They are raising important concerns, demanding transparency and seeking accountability from our local government. Although their names will not appear on the ballot, they are dedicated to achieving the change that citizens want.
I urge you to write in Mary Beth Reynolds and Charles Gibbs in the upcoming election. Change starts here.
CYNTHIA STEELMAN Glasgow Editor’s note: Names that will appear on the ballot to fill three seats on Glasgow Town Council this year are incumbents Brandal Branch, Marcie Hill and Natalie Harris and challenger Kris Springer.
