The members of the Natural Bridge Ruritan Club recently enjoyed a presentation from Rockbridge County Extension agent Tom Stanley, who spoke on “The Future of the Rockbridge Landscape.” He gave statistics and showed pictures of the ever-changing landscape, land usage, land owners vs. farm management, etc., over the years. There was great discussion on carbon emissions, deer vs. timber and climate changes, and the “use of land” comparisons.
