TJ Maxx will open at College Square shopping center north of Lexington this Sunday, Aug. 16.
The store will open at 8 a.m. in the former Peebles/Gordmans building that has been vacant since 2020. Normal shopping hours will run from 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. each day.
In celebration of its new Lexington location, TJ Maxx will contribute to the local community by donating $10,000 to the Rockbridge Area Relief Association.
TJ Maxx is considered the nation’s leading off-price retailer with more than 1,300 stores currently operating in 49 states and Puerto Rico.
