Passing the Gavel
Mary Jane Mutispaugh (center), outgoing president of the Rockbridge Retired Teachers Association (RRTA), passes the gavel to new copresidents Nimfa Szarka (right) and Cindy Crance. Mutispaugh was recently selected as president-elect of the Virginia Retired Teachers Association (VRTA). For the past two years, she served as president of RRTA and the VRTA district. Retired employees from Rockbridge, Lexington, and Buena Vista Schools are invited to join the RRTA. The next meeting is on Monday, Aug. 17, at 11 a.m. at the Rockbridge Innovation Center. Those planning to attend should RSVP by Aug. 11 to Kathy Burant at [email protected].
