Unity4Kids’ annual Back to School Bash this past Saturday at Glen Maury Park served over 400 families and children. The families would go through the lines and get their supplies; then they would stop at the UnityReads book section, where among the volunteers were MJ and Ron Ginder (pictured below left). After that they would go to the Project Horizon and Rockbridge Area Health Center table and on to get their shoes. Rockbridge Area Community Services’ Charity Smith greeted the families and handed out resource information. Other participating agencies were the Rockbridge Regional Library bookmobile, Buena Vista Police Department and Buena Vista Fire Department. Everyone also received pizza, watermelon and cupcakes.
