Lexington Public Works Director Patrick Madigan will be stepping down from his role with the city’s department of public works at the end of the week.
Madigan told The News-Gazette on Friday that he will be taking the position of engineering and operations director at the Maury Service Authority beginning on Aug. 10. In that position, he will oversee the capital projects that the MSA is working on in conjunction with the city of Lexington’s Department of Public Works and the Rockbridge County Public Service Authority.
Deputy Director Scott Dameron will serve as interim director of the public works department until a new director can be hired, and Doug Sisson will serve as the interim deputy director.
Madigan has been with the city of Lexington since September of 2022 and succeeded Jeff Martone in the role. ...
