Wildcats Teach Youths Football Skills

The Rockbridge County High School football team held a youth football camp for children from kindergarten through seventh grade on Friday evening at the high school. The instructors at the camp were RC head football coach Zack Rhodenizer (above, holding long stick) and some of his assistant coaches and players, teaching fundamentals and running drills. “We had a great turnout for our Youth Skills Camp tonight,” said Rhodenizer. “I appreciate all of the families who came out and our varsity players for giving their time and energy to work with these young athletes. A football program is bigger than Friday nights. It’s about older players investing in younger players, building relationships, and demonstrating what it means to wear the jersey by setting a great example for these young athletes.” (Stephanie Mikels Blevins photos)
