Rockbridge United Girls Win U10 Soccer Tournament — The Rockbridge United Soccer Club (RUSC) under-10 girls’ team won the annual Sunburn Tournament held May 30-31 in Charlottesville. The team went undefeated in the tournament, winning 5-0 in the semifinals and in the championship game. Players were (front row, from left) Adelaide Aamodt, Lorelei Aamodt, Frannie Lowder, Hattie Lowder, Sadie Utterback, Hadley Hoke, Susanna Barnhart, Anabelle Hobbs, and coaches were (back row) Brenna Aamodt, Chris Aamodt and Bobby Hobbs. Barnhart led the team with seven goals in the tournament, while Lowder scored five goals, and Hoke put in three. Lorelei Aamodt was the team’s starting goalkeeper. RUSC offers programming for players ages 4 to 18 and is committed to serving the Rockbridge community through player development, teamwork and sportsmanship.
