The Lexington Planning Commission voted to approve the final amended version of the five-year review of the city’s comprehensive plan at its regular business meeting last Thursday.
The review will go to City Council for final review at a future meeting.
The updated transportation chapter of the plan has been sent to the Virginia Department of Transportation for review, and that review will need to be completed before Council can review the updated plan.
Krista Anderson made the motion to approve the review with the amendments discussed at the meeting and incorporating written comments provided by Council member John Driscoll. Mary Stuart Harlow seconded the motion which passed in a 4-0 vote. Tori Bates, John Eastwood and Leslie Straughan were not in attendance.
