A big crowd turned out for the sixth annual LexRockBV Juneteenth celebration at Richardson Park in Lexington last Friday evening. There was plenty of food, including offerings from the Taste of Jamaica (top right) and a strawberry shortcake from Carter’s Sweet Treats (being shared in photo below). The Rev. Reginald Early (above) read a history of Juneteenth, and ToNY CaMM & the All Stars of Funk (left) provided music.There was also face painting by Washington and Lee University students, a car show and deputies handing out Frisbees.
