Sympathy is extended to the family and friends of Shirley Cash. She was the wife of Pastor Don Cash, who predeceased her. They had two children, David Cash and Cindy Truslow. Shirley, like my friend who passed last month, battled pancreatic cancer.

Vesuvius Baptist Church will be having vacation Bible school July 20-24. The theme is “Hooked.” I will have more details next week.
The Raphine Volunteer Fire Department will hold its annual carnival June 17-20. Their parade will be Friday evening at 6:30.
Hopefully, we will have a few cooler days this week with some rain mixed in. I pray for our country, as we soon will celebrate our 250 years as a nation. I pray for safety for those traveling. If it remains dry, safety for firework displays. I hope you all have a blessed week.
