Esther Pennington, 540-291-2629 Visiting High Bridge Presbyterian Church this past Sunday were two cadets from Virginia Military Institute. Also, we had children’s church and the “noisy can” offering. The annual Independence Day church picnic will be held Sunday, July 5, after the service.
The Presbyterian Women hosted the Natural Bridge/ Glasgow Ruritan Club for dinner this past Tuesday. Also, the local Presbyterian Women mission for the second quarter is Lisa’s House. Donations can be dropped into the box at the narthex at church or delivered to Lisa’s House through June. Betsy Shepherd is the mission chairperson and will have a list of items needed.
Kathy Gilbert, daughter Hattie Myers, and grandchildren Cora, Everly, and Kinsley Myers returned from visiting Daniel, Hannah and Henry Robert Gilbert in Colorado. While there, they babysat Henry Robert for Daniel and Hannah while they vacationed in Costa Rica.
The Natural Bridge/Glasgow food pantry board members met and finalized plans for their 30year anniversary celebration. There will be an open house at 734 McCullough St. on July 18 at 2 to 4 pm. The food pantry will open promptly at 9 a.m. tomorrow, Thursday, June 18, and close at 11 a.m. They welcome donations of boxed mac and cheese dinners for the month of June.
