Bobby Hobbs, senior vice president and chief lending officer at CornerStone Bank, graduated from the most recent Paul W. Barret Jr. Graduate School of Banking.
The school was held May 17–22 on the campus of Christian Brothers University in Memphis.
Hobbs was one of only nine students to graduate with summa cum laude honors — the school’s highest achievable distinction, awarded to graduates with a minimum grade point average of 3.9.
“We could not be prouder of Bobby,” said Steve Grist, president and CEO of CornerStone Bank. “To earn the highest distinction among more than 200 of the most talented banking professionals in the country reflects an extraordinary level of dedication and discipline. At CornerStone, our strength has always come from people who are committed to their craft and to the communities we serve. Bobby’s achievement embodies exactly that spirit, and our customers and neighbors are the ones who ultimately benefit from that kind of investment in knowledge and leadership.”
In addition to coursework, students attended the annual Paul W. Barret, Jr. Lecture Series. Darren Woodson, three-time Super Bowl champion and business leader, addressed school participants and invited guests.
