We had a wonderful music Sunday at New Monmouth Presbyterian Church on May 31 with lots of music and a delicious potluck meal. Thank you to everyone who helped provide music for Music Sunday including Laura Hotinger on piano and Amy Scheuer, who shared a recording of Elvis singing “Amazing Grace.” The choir sang “Leaning on the Everlasting Arms” and “Searchin.’” The Ukeladies along with Ray Blouin, Tim Hodges and Calvin Clark played “He Has Made Me Glad,” “Create in Me a Clean Heart” and “Here I Am to Worship.” Leila Hackett and her mom, Michelle, along with the Clarks, sang “Days of Elijah” and Casey and Rachel Clark sang “Steadfast.” What a great number of musical gifts were shared!
Thank you to everyone who brought food for the luncheon. It was a great time together.
A very happy birthday to Rosaleigh Hodges who turned 7 on Monday.
Joann Blouin gave thanks for the tea party last week at the Clarks’, which was a wonderful time. We all enjoyed the gathering, food and tea, and the discussion about the book “Anne of Green Gables.”
RARA needs baby food and diapers for the month of June. Vacation Bible school began Monday and runs through Thursday. We will be looking at the Festival of Booths, an old festival Jesus took part in.
Sign up for lay leadership at the front of the church or on the desk outside the door in the hallway.
