The Rockbridge Breakfast Club recently awarded two Ronnie Campbell Scholarships.
On May 4, Gladys Hopkins from the Rockbridge Breakfast Club presented one of those awards to Eliza Bolen. Bolen attended the Boomerang Gang Homeschool Co-op and plans to pursue welding at Mountain Gateway Community College. In addition to her academic work, she is an active member of the Civil Air Patrol, the official auxiliary of the United States Air Force, where she participates in leadership and service opportunities for young Americans.
Bolen also has long-term aspirations in mechanical engineering and hopes to attend the Virginia Military Institute or the United States Air Force Academy. She currently holds a 3.8 GPA.
On May 14, David Tingley, also a member of the Rockbridge Breakfast Club, awarded the second scholarship to Andrew Kelly at the Rockbridge County High School. He is pursuing a horticulture program at Virginia Tech.
