The Rockbridge County High School girls lacrosse, boys soccer and softball teams will start playing in the Region 3C tournament on Wednesday. In addition, RC sophomore boys tennis player Joe Vargas will team up with senior Jaxon Johnson in the Region 3C doubles tournament in Lynchburg, and Vargas will compete in the regional singles tournament.
The RC girls lacrosse team (14-1), which received the top seed and a bye in the quarterfinals, will face either E.C. Glass (6-7) the semifinals at 6 p.m. at The Fields at Southern Virginia University. The Wildcats are aiming to win their sixth consecutive Region 4D championship.
Following the girls lacrosse game, also at SVU, the RC boys soccer team (12-5-0) will play host to Heritage (4-9-4), with the game likely starting around 7:30 p.m. The RC softball team (10-8) will travel to Covington to face Alleghany (13-6) at 5:30 p.m.
