The Parry McCluer High School softball team suffered a 23-1 road loss to Eastern Montgomery in the Pioneer District championship game on Wednesday evening in Elliston.
The third-seeded Fighting Blues (8-10 overall, 5-5 district) were coming off a 16-6 win at second-seeded Narrows in the district semifinals on Tuesday. Top seed Eastern Montgomery improved to 16-6 overall, after going 10-0 in the district during the regular season.
The Blues will play host for a Region 1C quarterfinal game next week. Check back here for the date, time and opponent.
