Twelve Wildcats Sign Letters

With a large crowd of supporters watching, 12 Rockbridge County High School seniors signed national letters of intent to continue their academic and athletic careers at the Division III collegiate level at the school’s spring signing day held on April 30 at RC’s outdoor pavilion.

Five of the Wildcats are headed to local schools, with four to Southern Virginia University and one to Washington and Lee University. Those going to SVU are Xavier Flowers for football, Aiden Meyers and Caleb Robinson for football and men’s lacrosse, and Harrison Tanner for men’s golf. Olivia Hickman is headed to W&L for women’s equestrian.

From the softball team, pitcher Sadie Moore signed with Roanoke College. Representing the girls lacrosse team was Nadia Gaydos, who signed with Christopher Newport University. Price Lunsford is headed to Roanoke College for football, while Trenten Cash signed with Presbyterian College in South Carolina for cross country.

Mackenzie McCormick signed with Eastern Mennonite University for women’s volleyball, while Lucy Boller-Pinkham is headed to Greensboro College in North Carolina for women’s soccer, and Riley McDaniel signed with Randolph College for stunt cheerleading.
