Mount Olivet United Methodist Church will be holding a worship service in the Mount Olivet (Roaring Run) Cemetery on Sunday, June 7, at 11 a.m.
Those who may have family buried in the historic cemetery, located across the interstate from the church, are particularly encouraged to attend this unique service which seeks to honor the church’s past as it looks to its future.
Chairs will be provided, but because the church is unsure how many will be attend, those coming are asked to bring a chair if they can.
A covered-dish luncheon at the church will follow the service.
The church is located on U.S. 11 just below the Rockbridge- Botetourt county line.
