Do you remember celebrating the Bicentennial? (Yes, you have to be of a certain age if you do.)
Do you have any particular memories, memorabilia or photos from 1776, as we now get ready to celebrate our nation’s 250th anniversary this summer?
In a joint project with the Rockbridge Historical Society, The News-Gazette is inviting area residents to submit your memories and any photos you might have to the newspaper to [email protected] or to P.O. Box 1153, Lexington, VA 24450. If you have any memorabilia from that time, we ask you to contact Eric Wilson, the RHS executive director, at [email protected].
For submissions to the newspaper, please send them in no later than June 22 for publication in our July 1 issue.
