Investigator Richard Shull with the Rockbridge County Sheriff’s Office has been recognized as a member of the 2026 class of the Virginia Sheriffs’ Institute (VSI) Certification Program.
The VSI Certification Program recognizes sheriffs and deputies across the commonwealth who go above and beyond to grow professionally and better serve their communities. Earning this certification is not automatic — it requires dedication, discipline, and a genuine investment in becoming a better leader and public servant, said a spokesperson.
“I’m proud of Investigator Shull for earning this recognition. He represents our office with professionalism, integrity, and a strong work ethic every day. This certification reflects his commitment to growth and excellence, and Rockbridge County and Lexington City is better served because of it,” said Sheriff Tony McFaddin.
