Earth Friends Camp at Boxerwood 

Dates: June 1-5 Ages: Children ages 4-5 years old Time: Daily from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday-Friday,

Power Camp

Date: June 8-12 Time: 8 a.m. to noon Ages: Boys and girls ages 8 to 13 years old Special notes: Boys sports are basketball, soccer, lacrosse and flag football; girls sports are basketball, soccer, lacrosse, volleyball and cheerleading; each camper receives a T-shirt, Bible, lanyard, cinch bag and water bottle Location: Lexington Baptist Church Cost: $60 per camper (no refunds); registrations are limited to the first 100 registered. McHugh Youth Basketball Camp 

Dates: July 27-31 Ages: Boys and girls ages 5 to 14 Times: Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to noon or 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. full day option.

Junior Police Camp 

Dates: June 22-26 for children ages 7 to 10 and July 20-24 for children ages 11 to 14 Time: Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Little Beasties Summer Art Camps 

Dates: Around the World, June 8-12; World of Wonder, June 15-19; Red, White & Blue, June 22-26; Nature & Critter Creators, July 13-17; Master Artist Week, July 20-24

Times: Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to noon

Ages : 5-13, except Master’s Week, which is for ages 8-13

Cost: $180 Special notes: Two half scholarships have been donated to be used for week three or week five; applicants should send one written paragraph on why they are proud to be an American, and/ or how they would benefit from attending art camp; picture essay accepted; essays should be sent to [email protected] by May 15; winners will be notified by May 20; all applicants will receive a free Art Bar Coupon to use this summer.

Hand Sewing Basics 

Dates: Tuesday, June 9, through Friday, June 12

Times: 1 to 4 p.m. Ages: 5 to 10 Cost: $60 (includes required supplies)

Location: Grandmother’s Thimble Quilt Shop, 23 W. Washington St.

Special notes: This camp will be focusing on basics with hand sewing only ‒ no machines; participants will practice some basic stitches and complete a small hand project; due to the younger ages of this group and the need for safety around sharp tools, each child must be accompanied by an adult.

Beginner Quilting 

Dates: Tuesday, June 2, through Friday, June 5 Ages: 11-17 Time: 1 to 5 p.m. Cost: $100 (includes materials except sewing machine) Special notes: This camp does require the student to have access to a sewing machine and machines are not provided by the camp. Spots will be limited in order to make these camps as successful as possible.

Cadre Soccer Camps and Training

Nature Camp

Grace Bible Camp 

Dates: Week 1, June 14-20, ages 7-12; Week 2, June 21-27, ages 7-12; week, June 28-July 4, ages 12-17; Week 4, July 5-11, ages 7-12; Week 5, July 12-18, ages 7-12 Site: Grace Bible Camp, Goshen

Fee: The cost is $400 per week for all ages. “Campership” funds are available for those in need of financial assistance. Discounts are available for campers; ask camp registrar before registration. A one-time registration fee of $100 must be sent with the camper’s registration form. The registration fee applies to the total cost. This fee will be re-funded if registration is cancelled at least two weeks before the first day of the camper’s assigned week. The camper is not registered unless the camp receives both the registration form and the registration fee.

Special notes: The camp week begins on Sunday and campers should plan to arrive between 2 and 4 p.m. to check in and get settled in their cabin. The camp week ends on Saturday and campers should be picked up between 10 to 11 a.m. Parents and families are encouraged to attend the closing ceremony at 10 a.m. on Saturday.

Woods Creek Montessori Summer Camp 

Dates: June 1-July 31 Tuition and times: pre-toddler: half day (8:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.), $160/week, full day (8:15 a.m. to 3 p.m.), $215/week; toddler: half day, (8:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.), $150/week, full day, (8:15 a.m. to 3 p.m.), $205/week; primary: half day (8:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.), $140/week, full day (8:15 a.m. to 3 p.m.), $195/week; extended day PM care: 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., $60/week Fees and discounts: $40 onetime registration fee, 5% sibling discount Special notes: Classroom placements are based on the 2025-2026 school year.

Camp Rockbridge 

Ages: 5-12 Camp location: Central Elementary

Dates: May 26-31 Time: 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Fees: $190 for YMCA members, $205 for non-members

Generals Sports Camp 

Dates: Aug. 3-6 Times: Full day, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; half day, 9 a.m. to noon Ages: Boys and girls ages 5 to 14 Location: Duschossois Athletic Recreation Center Cost: Full day, $250 (lunch included); half day, $125 (lunch not included) Special notes: Before care is available from 8 to 9 a.m. for $50; after care is available from 3 to 4 p.m. for $50.
