Goshen Vice Mayor Steve Bickley (left) and Mayor Tom McCraw (right) surprised Jeremy Crute, planning director of the Central Shenandoah Planning District Commission, with several tokens of appreciation earlier this month: a key to the town, a certificate of appreciation and a declaration that April 13, 2026, was Jeremy Crute Day in the town of Goshen. Crute has worked with the town over the past several years to secure grant funding for the town’s planned community center and for emergency generators for the town hall and firehouse buildings.
