McFaddin Elected To Sheriffs’ Institute Board

Rockbridge County and Lexington Sheriff Tony McFaddin was elected to the board of directors of the Virginia Sheriffs’ Institute (VSI) during the 2026 VSI Spring Conference.

The Virginia Sheriffs’ Institute plays a vital role in advancing training, education, and professional development for sheriffs and deputies across the commonwealth. McFaddin’s election to the board reflects the trust and confidence his fellow sheriffs have placed in his leadership and commitment to the profession, said a spokesperson.

“I’m honored to have been elected to the VSI board of directors. The Institute does important work on behalf of sheriffs and deputies across Virginia, and I look forward to serving alongside dedicated leaders from across the commonwealth as we continue to strengthen training, education, and professionalism in law enforcement,” said McFaddin.

McFaddin will serve a one-year term on the board of directors of the Institute. The Virginia Sheriffs’ Institute currently has approximately 24,000 citizen associate and business members who support its programs and initiatives.
